1. why do you cheat with sai instead of using a more professional art program just like professionals concept artist that use photoshop or even painter?

Please check a few of my traditional work. I can’t use stabilizer there, just to make it clear.

I saw that little discussion on your page about ‘cheating with lines’ and SAI. I don’t really use stabilizer, only when I absolutely have to. I use SAI because it’s fast, simple and it’s perfect for what I am doing.

Cheating is tracing other’s art and saying it’s yours, stealing ideas etc. Using a program’s features is not cheating. Why don’t you say doing art digitally is ‘cheating’, or ‘not art’ compared to traditional.

You still need to know how to use the program, and even then, if you don’t know the basics of art, lighting, shading, anatomy, expressions, compositions, colors etc you won’t get anywhere.

Stabilizer is a tool, just like the paint bucket. You never see people say: “Hey, it’s cheating, because he’s not painting the thing, but filling with the bucket. That’s cheap and lazy!”

If you don’t know what you’re talking about please don’t act like you do. And tell your friends who are working themselves all over that topic: If you think stabilizer makes you a better artist - it’s not. And you have a LOT to learn. Stop bitching about stuff nobody cares, and if you like to draw, draw, have fun with it! Don’t be jealous because somebody is better than you. Practice, put in time, passion and learn the craft if you want to be better.

    That is all.
